Feature of the Week: Midjourney

This week, we’re spotlighting Midjourney, an AI-powered image-generation tool that’s transforming digital creativity. With just a simple text prompt, you can produce high-quality visuals—perfect for designers, marketers, and creatives looking to streamline their workflow. Whether you’re crafting concept art, unique branding, or engaging content, Midjourney offers fast iteration, diverse artistic styles, and remarkable detail. It’s a powerful way to explore ideas visually without the constraints of traditional design tools.

Creative Midjourney Hack

If you want to inject more randomness and surprise into your MidJourney generations, the --chaos parameter is your secret weapon. 

By default, MidJourney creates variations that are somewhat predictable, but when you add --chaos, you increase the level of creative unpredictability. 

A lower value (e.g., --chaos 10) keeps things structured, while a higher value (e.g., --chaos 80) pushes the AI to generate wild, unexpected, and sometimes surreal results. 

For example, the simple prompt: 

“man eating cake” -  Without chaos, you may get a straightforward image of a man enjoying his dessert. 

But add --chaos 30, 

“man eating cake --chaos 30 ” and the results become vastly unpredictable, ranging from a tense dining scene to an explosion of cake and colours. 

This parameter is perfect for experimental art, abstract compositions, or when you’re stuck in a creative rut and want MidJourney to throw curveballs at you. Play around with different levels of chaos to find that sweet spot between control and creativity.

As these technologies improve, AI-driven creativity will become even more effortless and powerful, making it easier for anyone to create professional-level content.
