Ideogram, Exploding Boxes, and the Power of JSON

Hello Friend,

Welcome back to the Generative Path, your weekly infusion of AI-powered creativity curated by ZenRobot to keep you ahead of the curve with the latest tools, trends, and techniques.

This week, we’re spotlighting Ideogram, the AI tool that transforms text into bold, stylised graphics with speed and precision. You’ll learn a quick hack for generating custom type-based designs, meet designer Olga Volosin, and check out the exploding box trend that’s using JSON code to build entire scenes. Add in Emancipator Radio and a fresh AI vs. Reality challenge, and you’ve got everything you need to spark your next creative move.

Oh… if you’re as crazy about MidJourney as we are, here’s a little something you might like: SREF Pack #3

Let’s get into it!

Feature of the Week: Ideogram

Ideogram is here and it's changing the way you bring words to life with AI. Designed for precision and creativity, Ideogram turns text prompts into stunning visuals, making it the perfect tool for designers, marketers, and storytellers alike.

With advanced control over fonts, styles, and layout, you can create everything from high resolution portraits and expressive posters, to sleek logos in seconds. Smart prompt interpretation means your ideas are translated more clearly, with bold results that stay true to your vision. Whether you're crafting a brand identity or experimenting with visual language, Ideogram gives you creative power fast.

Creative Hack: Text Based Visuals

Want to create high-quality custom text graphics? With Ideogram’s advanced typography engine, you can generate crisp, editable text-based visuals in seconds: perfect for logos, posters, and standout branding. Here’s how:

  • Open Ideogram and enter your phrase or word into the prompt bar.

  • Add a style keyword to guide the design. (Example: sans serif, minimal).

  • Enable the “Text Rendering” option to ensure clean, legible typography in your image.

  • Choose your aspect ratio and optionally use Magic Prompt to enhance or stylise your wording automatically.

The result is a clean, stylized graphic you can use instantly, no design tools required. Great for brand assets, content visuals, or fast creative mockups.

Community Spotlight: Olga Volosin

Olga Volosin is a graphic designer who merges design fundamentals with AI. Olga blends traditional design tools like Illustrator, InDesign, Figma, and Photoshop with generative AI platforms such as Midjourney to create clean, elegant visuals with a minimalist edge.

Known for her polished aesthetic and thoughtful execution, Olga shares her creative process openly, breaking down prompts, techniques, and workflows that help others bring AI into their own design practice. Whether she’s crafting brand assets, product mockups, or experimental visuals, Olga’s work shows how AI can enhance creativity without compromising on clarity or craft.

This Week’s Flow State: Emancipator Radio

Immerse yourself in the soulful calm of Emancipator Radio this week on Spotify. Crafted around mellow downtempo beats, organic textures, and ambient layers, this playlist builds a meditative yet dynamic soundscape ideal for focus and introspective flow. Whether you’re writing, coding, or just settling in for a creative session, let these rich compositions set the tone. Press play and drift into your work with ease.

AI Trend: Exploding Box Trend

This week’s trend explores the IKEA unboxing concept using JSON coding. The unboxing begins with a single IKEA box placed in an empty room. As the box opens, various objects emerge and position themselves around the space, from tables to clothing, gradually transforming the room into a fully furnished and decorated interior. By using JSON code as a prompt (JavaScript Object Notation which is a lightweight data format) you gain more control over the final result, allowing for greater precision in the visual outcome. The approach is gaining traction among creatives using JSON for more curated and repeatable results.

Student Showcase: Harriet Moser

In this edition of our Masterclass Showcase, we’re proud to feature a project by one of our recent students from the ZenRobot AI Masterclass: Harriet Moser. Using Midjourney’s new Start and End Frame animation tool, Harriet combined emotionally resonant visual storytelling with AI-assisted motion, exploring the potential of creative workflows for animated children’s content.

This piece reflects the core of what we explore in the Masterclass: how to turn simple moments into meaningful stories, using AI not as a shortcut, but as a tool for nuance, experimentation, and play.

AI vs. Reality: Can You Tell the Difference?

This week, we’ve got a brand-new pair of images to test your perception again. Think you can tell which is AI-made and which is the real deal? Take your guess and we’ll reveal the answer in the next issue!

Last week, we kicked off our AI vs. Reality face-off with puffins, and now for the moment of truth, if you guessed the right one was the real deal, you got it right. The left image was created with Midjourney showing off the program’s impressive ability to generate hyperrealistic images.

Prompt: Documentary photography, close up portrait of a puffin
