Freepik, Caveman Prompts & LEGO Storytelling

Hello Friend,

Welcome back to the Generative Path. From sharp new tools to creative shortcuts and emerging trends, this is where you stay a step ahead without having to sift through the noise.

News Incoming! Our May Masterclass seats are open—and filling fast—for ZenRobot’s Gen AI for Content Creation Masterclass. If you’ve been watching the explosion of AI tools and wondering how to actually use them to create standout content, this is your moment. In just four weeks, you’ll move beyond theory into hands-on creation: producing striking visuals, dynamic video, and scroll-stopping social assets while building a portfolio that proves your skill. With only 35 spots available in this cohort, you’ll get direct support, live sessions with Ross Symons, and the flexibility of on-demand learning. Demand is high, and once the seats are gone, they’re gone—secure your place before May fills up.

This week is all about working smarter with the tools you already have. Freepik steps in as a fast, accessible way to generate and refine visuals, while a simple “caveman prompting” trick shows how less language can actually deliver better results. We’re also spotlighting Kai Turner’s journey from Hollywood to AI video, and breaking down a LEGO campaign that proves storytelling still wins. Add RJD2 Radio and a fresh AI vs. Reality challenge, and you’re ready to create with more clarity.

Feature of the Week: Freepik

Freepik has evolved from a go-to design asset library into a full creative ecosystem powered by AI. What started as a resource for stock images, vectors, and templates is now a platform where you can generate, edit, and refine visuals all in one place.

At its core, Freepik blends traditional design assets with generative tools. You can create images using AI, remove backgrounds, expand visuals, and even explore different styles without leaving the platform. This makes it especially useful for creators who want speed without sacrificing quality.

For designers, marketers, and content creators, the real value is in flexibility. You can start with a generated concept, enhance it with Freepik’s editing tools, and then layer in high-quality assets from its library. It shortens the gap between idea and execution, turning rough concepts into quality, polished visuals in minutes.

Creative Hack: Talk Like A Caveman

A small shift in how you instruct the model to respond can make a noticeable difference. A Reddit user recently shared a trick: Try asking Claude to talk like a Caveman. Instead of letting Claude use full, conversational language, tell it to keep outputs short, stripped down, and direct. The result? Here’s an example:

Normal response: “I executed the web search tool” = 8 tokens
Caveman response: “Tool work” = 2 tokens
Save per swap: = 6 tokens

By forcing a compressed response style, Claude generates far fewer words, which can significantly reduce token cost and speed up responses. One developer reported cutting output tokens by up to 75% using this approach.

Community Spotlight: Kai Turner

Kai Turner is a creative director and product designer with over 25 years of experience across entertainment and digital platforms. With roles at Sony Pictures and Netflix, he has worked on projects including Love, Death & Robots and The Irishman, as well as emerging initiatives like Netflix’s games platform. More recently, he’s been deeply immersed in generative AI video, both as a creator and co-host of the podcast 5ives, exploring how storytelling, product thinking, and AI are beginning to converge.

This Week’s Flow State: RJD2 Radio

Step into the textured, sample-rich world of RJD2 Radio on Spotify. Blending instrumental hip-hop, soulful cuts, and layered beats, this playlist delivers a dynamic yet focused listening experience. It’s engaging without being distracting, making it a strong companion for creative work, deep focus, or exploratory sessions. Press play and let the rhythm shape your flow.

AI Trend: FIFA Lego Advert

LEGO’s Campaign, featuring stars like Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappé, and Vinícius Júnior, racked up over 300M views in 24 hours, but it doesn’t feel like a traditional ad. Instead of leaning into heavy production, it uses simple LEGO storytelling: brick-built players, a roulette-style reveal, and a final moment driven by a child’s move.

What makes it land is the shift in approach. Rather than controlling the narrative, LEGO taps into the unpredictability and emotion of football, creating something that feels like a shared moment rather than a campaign. It’s a reminder that as audiences become harder to impress, the brands that win aren’t just producing ads, they’re creating experiences people genuinely care about.

AI vs. Reality: Can You Tell the Difference?

This week, we’ve got a brand-new pair of images to test your perception again. Think you can tell which is AI-made and which is the real deal? Take your guess and we’ll reveal the answer in the next issue!

Last week, we kicked off our AI vs. Reality face-off with street scenes, and now for the moment of truth, if you guessed the right one was the real deal, you got it right. The left image was created with Midjourney showcasing its impressive realism capabilities.
